Had training in Aj today.
Which started at one cause they had half day.
And i was rudely woken up by chow
but really, thanks to her tt I knew training started at one instead of five.
Went down to CCA Branch to watch St nicks hockey team against STC.
lost. 0-1
They scored in at the last few minutes.
When I saw them cry after the match,
I suddenly rem a yr ago, after my discus comp.
How st nicks mind alot abt losing.
Mind You, Im refering to myself also in this case.
Maybe its due to the pressure we get from the sch and the coaches.
Not wanting to let anyone of them down, especially ourselves.
About how important winning is,
afterall, tts what we aimed for after dose tough trainings we had 3 times a week.
But I think,
Being in St nicks Track n field team for the past 4 yrs,
Its nt about winning ONLY.
Its more like putting in your 101% during competition which I doubt the hockey team did just now.
I think tt was why they shed those tears.
Their coach Jude, said tt their performance was nt up to standard.
In a team game like tt,especially...
Not being able to perform well also means bringing down the rest of the team mates.
It goes back to my point,
St nicks winning double champ for consecutively 3 yrs in Track n Field,
biting our nails even until the last race last yr,
being able to beat SSS by those little points,
is not sth easy w/o everyone's contribution.
especially throwers.
who were unnoticed byt he seniors few yrs back then.
hahahahahahah! ok whatever. Im so biased.
My juniors,
Sui Ying n Jocelyn will be representing SIngapore in WALAA Perth in 2 weeks time.
sheesh...
I feel so proud of them.
Throwers never gotten much attention and glory way back then.
Really hope they'll be the first Singaporean throwers.
hahahahahahaha...
why not?
